King Max

Here are some photos of "King Max" from his Halloween party today. Luke had a great time in his costume and is very excited for trick or treating tomorrow.

This is Ms. Ali and her kids Jack and Quinn. She is the mom who watches Luke on Monday mornings. She was also one of the organizers of the party today. She and Ms. Suzi did a great job!

Cambria October 18-25, 2009

Just a few photos from our trip. I guess this time the camera didn't work as well as having no cell service or Wi-Fi.

Elephant seal impression.

These little koi were so friendly. You could put a finger in the water and they would "kiss" it - this kept Luke amused while we waited for "Thai food Wednesday." If you're ever in Bay Wood/Los Osos - check out Noi's Little Thai Take-Out - we took the advice of one of the locals and YUM is all I can say. This adorable place is amazing.

Memories of Me Advertising

The photographer for Luke's 2 year photos decided to use him in some of her advertising. As his shirt says, "What a rock star!"

Pumpkin Patch

MOMS Club had a tour of the Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch today. We met about 15 friends and rode on the tractor, went to the petting zoo, picked vegetables and pumpkins and went through a corn maze. Luke enjoyed himself thoroughly - even eating some of his veggies when he got home. Score 1 for the farm!!!

More Paddle Board/Beach Photos

I Have Seen the Future...

Luke and Paul went paddle boarding on Sunday morning with Tanner and Mike Harden. I have seen the future - it's these 4 dudes and their boards. How exciting!

Halloween House

Luke really wanted to make a Halloween House. So we went to Michael's and bought this set.

As you can see, he was really into it...

Putting on candy stickers and ghosts...

Until he wasn't. I finished alone.

I think we did a great job. : )

Selma's Pizza Making Tour

Today we went on a tour at Selma's in downtown San Clemente. Luke and his friends had a tour of the kitchen (including the walk-in refrigerator - brrr!) then made their own pizzas. It was a fun time for everyone. Thanks Selma's for letting a bunch of 2 year olds take over!

First Day of Pre-Pre-School (Toddler Time)

Here are some photos from Luke's first day of class. He did great with only a minor meltdown over the police car ride-on toy. He loved circle time and came home singing "Ring Around the Rosy". Should be a fun activity for Wednesday mornings. Not sure about Luke, but mama needs a nap!

Singing

About three weeks ago Luke started spontaneously singing "Five Little Monkeys". He did the Dr part - "No More Monkeys" with the accompanying wag of his finger. Since then he's extended his repertoire to include portions of the "ABC's" and more of the actual "Five Little Monkeys" song. I'm trying to get him on video and will post it when I can. He's in love with watching himself on the video camera and doesn't quite understand how it works yet - he always comes over to the filming side to see what going on. : )

Favorite Books

I should have started this a long time ago, but I just thoughtof it. To the right >>> I've started a list of Luke's current favorite books. By "favorite" I mean the one he currently wakes up asking to read, needs read multiple times during the day and a few times before bed. He hasn't asked to bring a book to bed yet, but I'm sure it's coming. This boy loves books.

Cambria - July 2009

Luke thought this rock looked like a cupcake so we dubbed it "Cupcake Rock" for the remainder of the visit.

This deer thought Nana's roses were delicious. She and her fawn came nearly every evening to munch.

Luke discovered rock throwing on this trip. He sat for almost an hour throwing rocks into the ocean. Good times!

Luke's tent

This tractor was a big hit with Luke. He loved touching the tires and sitting on the hood. We're still talking about it!
