Check out Luke on the front of this newsletter. Michelle submitted it to her publisher's kids' department. They wanted pictures of kids excited about reading. That's my boy!
One funny thing Luke started doing was "tickling" the fish when they swam over to the window. This video is dark but if you listen carefully, you an hear him saying "tickle tickle" to the fish as they swim by. Such a character! P.S. We were literally the only group in this exhibit for about 10 minutes. Our own private Sea World!
On Wednesday, we took Luke to Sea World for the first time. He LOVED it! Luckily the park was almost empty, so he was able to walk from exhibit to exhibit (strollers are great for storing everything BUT the child) and get up front and personal with the creatures.
Our first stop was the otter exhibit. An otter was floating right next to the glass - very cool.
After that we went over to the dolphins. They were so close! Luke was enjoying the dolphins so much that we decided to go to the Dolphin Show. When we left the exhibit, he was so sad. He kept running back. I think he thought we were going home!
The Dolphin Show was fun, but it was a little too long to ask Luke to sit still. He was ready to move on by the time it was over.
I read in a parenting newsletter yesterday that 16 month olds know about 7 words. Here is Luke's current word tally (in no particular order):
